Ms. Ann Jackson-Ellison

Mrs. Ann Jackson-Ellison shares memories from her childhood of  when her family moved into a predominately white neighborhood. She also tells stories from her time as a student at Peabody High School, which was known in the SCLC for having an unusually high number of students supporting the civil rights movement through participating in peaceful protests. Mrs. Jackson-Ellison recalls how segregation in Petersburg affected her and her participation in protests aimed at brining equality.
